Custom Specials

These cylinders are specifically designed and manufactured to fulfill a requirement for non standard types of cylinders. With this solution we can manufacture and supply almost any type, style or combination of variables to satisfy the needs of the project. Some of the possibilities are: Full stainless construction, Composite materials, Solid body type, different shaft materials and coatings, etc. These cylinders are typically a full consultation, design, build and supply. From one offs to quantities for OEM manufacturers.

Standard 210 Bar series

Standard welded cylinders are an economical yet robust option for medium to heavy-duty general purpose use. Typical applications include industrial, marine and mobile. Available sizes are from 1.0” to 12.0” bore dia and 0.5” to 6” shaft dia with stroke lengths up to approximately 8m. In this range we offer a wide selection of standard mounting options and also cater for special modifications such as bushed eyes, marine coating and stainless steel componentry, high strength and/or hardened shafts, high temp and/or low friction seals, cushions, spring returns, equal displacement (through rod) compact versions and special mounts.

Marine Cylinder

Marine cylinders are typically a Marinised version of the standard 210 Bar series. The standard finish is Sandblasted steel body, arc sprayed and 2pack epoxy coated. Stainless steel shaft and shaft eye. The Fronthead is also stainless steel up tp 3″ diameter, over that frontheads are Zinc plated. Available sizes are from 1.0” to 12.0” bore dia and 0.5” to 6” shaft dia with stroke lengths up to approximately 8m. In this range we offer a wide selection of standard mounting options and also cater for special modifications such as bushed eyes, marine coating and stainless steel componentry,

Displacement Cylinder

Hydrapower Displacement cylinders are a cost effective solution for single-acting applications. Typically found on mobile applications and lifts, these cylinders are designed to Hydrapower’s unique specifications. Shaft sizes are imperial and range from 1 inch to 3 inches in diameter. The port is BSP parallel as standard but alternative options are available. The basic mounting style is a slug base and shaft pin-eye but alternatives may be selected from the S210 series if required. Construction Cast iron frontheads are internally screwed and the shaft “stop” is threaded to the shaft. The slug base, complete with integral BSP port, is welded to the tube.

NFPA/ISO Cylinder

A hydraulic cylinder with robust, modular construction, typically used in high cycle industrial applications where performance is critical, this range conforms to ISO 6020-2. We offer metric bore sizes from 40 mm to 200 mm, with a choice of two metric shaft sizes for each bore size and mounting options are in accordance with the ISO standard. Low friction seals are incorporated into the basic design whereas adjustable cushions, high temp seals, equal displacement style and marine features are offered as options.

Mill Cylinder

This range has been designed to suit heavy duty applications running at up to 250 bar on a continuous cycle. The cylinders are typically used in intensive industrial applications where durability and performance are critical. Mounting dimensions conform to ISO 6022 and the bore size range is from 50 mm to 200 mm. Adjustable cushioning, induction hardened shaft and heavy duty sealing system are offered as standard.

Servo Cylinder

Hydrapower electro-hydraulic servo actuators are designed to provide high performance and precision control. Utilizing proportional or servo valves with analogue or digital LVDTs, positional resolutions of 0.025 mm are achievable. Sizes and mounting options are in accordance with ISO 6020-2 within the range of 50 mm up to 125 mm bore size. Note: some mounting options are unavailable due to the incorporation of the LVDT. The cylinders are supplied complete with valve interface block and pipe work. Servo valves can be supplied on request.

Telescopic Cylinder

We design and manufacture both Single acting and Double acting telescopic cylinders, as well as Constant Velocity telescopic cylinders. Constant velocity lifts are primarily used in the elevator or personnel lift markets. These can be ported through the shaft or within the base of the cylinder depending upon the application and requirement.
